Booking a session is easy. You just reach out to me here. Tell me what date(s) you have in mind and who will be included in your session. It's the perfect time to ask questions too! Once we figure out a date that will work for both of us, I'll send over a contract via email. Once the contract is signed, you'll be taken to PayPal where you'll pay the retainer. The retainer will confirm your date. Done!

Sessions are shot on location in your family room, kitchen, a favorite park, or even your back yard! People are usually concerned about their houses being too dark or too messy. You can rest easy that I have experience in a variety of lighting situations and will be able to harness whatever light is available and maybe even bring some of my own!

This piece is SO important. When? Well, as a photographer, I'd be remiss not to say - the Golden Hour. What is that? It's the hour after sunrise and the hour before sunset. The light is STUNNING and stunning light makes for awesome pictures. HOWEVER, I can tell you that I RARELY get the chance to shoot during the golden hour. Why? Because I almost exclusively shoot newborns and families with small children where 7AM and 8PM are just not awesome times and that's OK. If you've found your way through my galleries, you'll notice that good light can be found all around this. All of this is to say - There are Best, Better, and not as awesome times of day. Reach out to me and tell me the best time for your family and we'll go from there.

I've found that the most classic moments are captured when a family is comfortable and acting natural. I use a photo-journalistic style where families are encouraged to play, tickle, laugh, and really enjoy themselves.

It is important that my style and laid back approach match your expectations. If you've looked through my portfolio and you've found yourself here, chances are, we're a great match!

Dress nicely, while the photos are meant to be natural, most people still want to be captured at their best, this includes wardrobe. That being said, don't wear something that's out of character for you or too stiff. Solid colors or small prints work best, but it's best not to all wear exactly the same thing.

When it comes to portraits, think about where you want to use the images in your home. If you have a specific room in your home that you want to hang them, try to wear colors that will coordinate with that room.
