I'm over a month into my Project 365- If you're just catching up or peeking in for the first time, it's a photography project based on daily shooting. For me, the purpose is to practice. I want to practice the mechanics of the camera, learn more about my speedlight and lenses, the art of observation, looking for light (and shadows), and everything else. Some nights it's all I can do to find a subject (Look for a tiny elephant as the star of a photo later this week) other days it's fun to really sit down and plan out a shot.
This past week, there was no planning. It was all I could do to get my WB right before shooting. Time was short.
This was my girl and her BFF the day after their sleepover. They were FRIED. They've been friends since the day Sutton was born and there is nothing I'd love more than for that friendship to stand the test of time. I think they're off to a pretty great start.
Sometimes I have to take off my mommy glasses and remind myself to get my husband in the picture too! Here he is playing Peek-A-Boo!
I love taking his picture when he's in his high chair. It means he's not going anywhere and certainly can't get his little fingers into my lens!
This one was Sutton's idea. I'm trying to allow here some "creative freedom" in helping me shoot. She designed this shot...."I'll wear this, mama. Everett can sit on his truck. Wait, let me move it over here...now you sit there mama...no, over a little bit."
And here it is - The biggest part of our week. We put an offer on a house and this was taken the day after it was accepted. It's a renovation project that will get a blog of it's very own, hopefully this weekend. Stay tuned!
