My passion for photography really came to life after I had my first child. I quickly realized how fleeting the moments that fill up our daily lives really are. I became engrossed in trying to capture emotions, connections, and memories all with athe click of a shutter. I learned fast that there's a huge difference between a snapshot and a photograph. One freezes a moment, the other freezes a memory.
As my journey into photography continued and I started photographing other peoples' families. I was quite humbeld by the trust they put in me to preserve those very precious memories. So when I was asked to memorialize one of my dearest friend's delivery of their third baby, I was overwhelmed. There wasn't a chance I could say no.
For those out there that know me, they know I am rarely at a loss for words, but writing about this experience, well, it leaves me floundering a bit.
I wish I could find the words to describe what an incredible experience this was for me. Then again, if I were meant to be a writer, I wouldn't have been there with my camera. Instead of writing about it, I wrapped up every ounce of love I had and put it into my photography. It is with humble pride that I'm sharing their story with you. Welcome to the world Georgia Marion. May you one day see this and understand just how greatly you were loved from the very moment you came into our lives.
