Demolition & Renovation| Newborn Photographer in Wilmington, Delaware takes on a renovation.

I stopped by the new place tonight to take some pictures!  A lot of people have been asking for updates so here they are! The bank financing came through and we were able to start writing checks! The demolition has started and the new plumbing is going in.

We had a minor (expensive) set back when they discovered termite tubes in the sub-flooring. The original quote to drill through the concrete pad sub flooring that was already in place was over $4500. However, we were told if we broke up the slab so they could just spray, it would be just over $1000.

So, Chad spent almost his entire Memorial Day weekend over there breaking up the slab with a sledge hammer, crow bar, and a lot of sweat (and maybe some tears). I stayed home with the kids and worked my butt off on some landscaping. I dug up two new flower beds, planted shrubs & flowers, and spread 3 yards of mulch. Thankfully my parents stopped by to help out some too!

I also had these two awesome helpers:

We say it just about every night before bed. But then we tell ourselves how awesome it's going to be to see it all come together.

I remember hanging there growing up and trying to help Joe work on the house with some of my other friends. We were probably about 12 then...but Haas a lot of fun helping and picking out what rooms we were gonna have etc....as the years past we stopped hanging there probably around 16. Now 43 and here finally after all these years I'm so happy to see someone who bought the home and completing the dream that was started so many years ago by a single man. Through all these years I've walked by it many many times for the home I grew up in my parents still reside. Best wishes fOr you and your family and once it is complete I know it will be very beautiful.
